The artichoke is a vegetable well known to ancient Greeks and Romans. Since old times this plant has been used for cooking different dishes. It is especially revered in the Mediterranean cuisine. However the leaves, stem and roots of the artichoke are used in medicine as they contain useful to our health chemical substances in high concentrations. Find out what the extract of artichoke is useful for:

1. Artichoke acts beneficially in a number of diseases: kidney problems, high cholesterol, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), anemia, fluid retention (edema), arthritis, bladder infections, liver problems.
